Comedy by Avenue Q's Jeff Whitty: The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler

Why do some classics never die, even when they really, really want to?
In this surprising play by Avenue Q creator Jeff Whitty, fictional characters like Hedda seek to take charge of their own destinies, with hilarious results. The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler is a sort of self-empowerment road trip, with Hedda being joined by other fictional characters hoping for a re-write. Gone With the Wind's "Mammy" - a fictional stereotype if ever there was one - is Hedda's primary companion, and along the way they meet Medea, Little Orphan Annie, and Jesus Christ (the Godspell version), among others.
The cast includes two actors returning from MWT's 2010 smash Urinetown, The Musical: AnnaLisa Erickson will play Medea and Ian Federgreen will play multiple character roles, including Jesus the Carpenter. Director Sabrina Ann Lloyd is making her L.A. debut after departing Chicago's GroundUp Theatre Company, where she directed The Taming of the Shrew and The Seagull.
